Challenge #2: UPCYCLING – where you create a new garments, objects anything from the leftover fabrics or anything that are not used anymore.
Challenge #3: MISURA – where you do an outfit with a given theme on the random model.
1. Technical challenge: A circle skirt
Rank #8
Winner: Iris
When you see the circle skirt, every tailors will think “ah, it is easy, it is simple”. Yes, it is a basic garment. But for me it is a night mare. The invisible zip!!!! It took me more than half an hour just to put the invisible zip on and it was not beautiful at all. So many mistakes for a little simple garment. I was so sad and disppointed myself but I had to stay calm to face the second challenge. It was just the beginning.
2. Upcycling challenge: Men’s shirts
Rank #2
Winner: Giovanni
It was interesting challenge. I was so excited to see all the shirts hanged in front of me. I immediately thought that “ I have to make something deconstructed yet contemporary, young and fun”. so I went all with basic white, stripped blue shirts. I grabs 3 shirts but I have thought I will only use 2 shirts and I had to use all parts of it.
It was turned out a top really fun and interesting. I was happy with what I did.
3. Misura challenge: Caftano
To be honest, I do not like Caftano at all. It is too loose and too feminine. With a petite like me, I was doubt a caftano will look good on me. So I was thinking about adding some masculine aspects into a Caftano. A sporty Caftano with luxury fabric would be a great ideas.
Green for a hope. I hope I could go far this competition so I go for green.
BUT SUPRISEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! I WON!
It was totally unexpected that I won. OMG. For first time ever, I won in a competition. OMG!! It was overwhelmed for me.
