Third Culture Kids (TCKs) refer to people were born in a country different from their parent’s or those who grew up outside the country of their first nationality and often have temporary resident status in the country where they live. I was born in small village of Vietnam, moved to Hanoi – the capital of Vietnam alone for studying high school. Then I moved and lived in UK 4 years for my first university degrees. Then I moved to Italy for fashion degree and I am living in Milan right now. There is a moment that I was so confused with my identity where I unconsciously observed some of different cultures that I was lived in. I was not sure where I should belong to but there is something more important that no matter how many identities we have, the confusion of our TCKs should be accepted and embraced.
This collection is about my life story. I want to embrace my identity confusion which are the conflicts between Vietnamese and Scottish cultures.
